I stepped out my front door this afternoon and there was a Dragonfly perched right there , I went back in and grabbed my camera , please excuse the non naturistic background, C & C welcome

All pretty nice photos, the second one gets a 10 though as it's the best of the group here, the last one would be really nice if it wasn't for that background of the house and all there it makes the image to busy in my opinion. First image needed flash as it's a little to dark overall.

thanx for the kind comments everyone, Eric your quite right about the first one , it was the only one I didn't use the flash for, I wish I had a choice as to the background but hey I'd take a pic of one of these guys anywhere ,thanx again everyone

Well I have looked online and checked about everything I know to check and the species looks like a ruby meadowhawk the closest I can tell but the markings don't match perfectly either on that species so if anyone else wants to have a go at it good luck

Hey Wayne, cool shots. I normally don't like backgrounds other than natural ones but the one in #1 actually is pretty neat and nicely shows how nature incorporates itself in urban settings. Nice job!
