I was testing my new(to me) Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash and this was the first shot with it. It's also one of the first properly exposed shots of Dexter I've been able to get. Without dialing in neg exp compensation, it's hard to shoot dark colored subjects. Using the flash as fill, worked out very well.

Cool shot of your best bud.

I've shot a pic of a lookalike dog, for my aunty before.
Was pretty hard to shoot him.

Great Shot! I also have a black lab. Hes great. But hard to photograph! Most of the time the photos are over exposed or, he won't stay still for more than 2 minutes.

Mind sharing your exif data?

Lovely shot. I am real interested in seeing your image with the Sigma flash--I am considering getting one myself.

Yeah, I don't know why his muzzle is getting so gray, he's only 5 yrs. This flash really makes it show up though!

I thought you'd been feeding him creme sugar donuts or something, hehe.

Very loyal looking lad.
