It feels like we burn more than 2000 calories during a wedding shoot. Normally we will not book 2 weddings back-to-back. That said it does happen.

Last weekend we did the back-to-back routine and I'm delighted with the results. Need time to recover!

Looks like nice work. Didn't have time to go through all of them, though. One quick comment: Both of your brides seem to be holding their bouquets really high. If you just have them drop it slightly, it gets it out of the bodice of the dress and makes a much nicer image, imo. ("Forearms on the hipbones" is what I was always taught...and still say today.) I noticed this especially in the photos of the bride with her dad, preceremony.

I'm sure you'll be asked to show a few here on the thread.
I did take a quick look and while there are a lot of really nice shots, the collections are a bit too heavy on the tilt-shots for me :-)

Very nice! I especially enjoyed the britt & Avery collection; just beautiful! Question--on this image from the Amanda & Dutch set 092_DP3_4009 do you have the bride sit on a low stool or something? Thanks!

Actually just sitting on her knees. We do this image a lot and the bride needs to be willing. Great tummy exercise!

Some fabulous shots Dan - especially like the Brittany and Avery shoot. I'm just starting out on the wedding side and have my second shoot in two weeks so have been looking at as many shots as I can! I really like some of the poses you have done - like with the guys on the rocks with bride in the middle. Some great ideas well done. Do your bride and groom always give you a list of formals they want?
It's been like going back to school with all the studying I have done - I've been to the two venus three times each! Would you share your lens use in these please?
Thanks and well done
Paula

Hi Paula:

1. No lists from the bride. But during our consultation visit we get an idea on what the bride and groom like. Have them review a few wedding albums in our studio it becomes obvious the style they prefer and make note in their chart.

2. Lens used..... a bunch! 24-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8, 85mm 1.2, 100mm 2.0, 100mm macro 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 16-35mm 2.8, 15mm fisheye, and a few others.....Dan
