Oh, really nice shot! Reminds me of when I had a small one (~6 meters) just in front of me on my Padi advanced course in Thailand. Man, that was great! Having one of these 2-3 meters away, on your 20th dive or something... kinda spoils you a bit ;)

You can see whale sharks near the oil rigs in the Gulf out of Texas. I am sure it would better in Hawaii, but they are sighting them near the oil rigs... p.s. wait till Katrina has passed to jump in the water...

Great shot.. Beautiful.. It's National Geographic quality.. Someting you'd expect to see there...


On the side topic of sharks.. They aren't the only thing to worry about.. There was a man killed by a bear yesterday just 50km / 30 miles from where I live..
