Shot my boys games this weekend. Not too many photos this weekend. Also shot my oldest son's baseball game as well. Still processing those.

All shot with the 20d and the Sigma 100-300mm f4. ISO 400.

Let me know what you think.

Nice shots. The boots disappear in the grass - needs cutting. But nice shots.

Yeah they keep the grass too long on their fields. If it drizzles, they cancel the intramural games and the travel games. And to think, I plyed on rocks and dirt when I was this age!

All of them are good shots. nice detail and colour. I like the focussed "eye on the ball" expressions.

They are all pretty darn good. Nice job on keeping a low shooting angle.

One small soccer tip for you, related to the first two shots:
Try to shoot slightly earlier and/or slightly later. For a big soccer kick, the kids tend to "wind up" and you can get some nice shots on the "winding up" phase with the leg pulled back. Or, if you wait a few milliseconds longer, the kids usually look up to see where their shot is going. That way you usually get the eyes in view very well.

In your first two shots, you kind of got the kids in the "jack knife" position between the wind-up and the shot.

Here's an example of a photo with the leg winding up for a shot:

And here's an example of waiting a bit longer to get the kids eyes following the ball:
