it could easily be someone who works for the store, or someone who has no idea what they are doing.

If I didnt know better, or was so blinded by the low price of a 20D/XT/etc, then I might think I got a great deal.

Does it really matter where you get it from? Prices are all pretty close from most stores.

I've used buydig and never had an issue. Bought a slide scanner from them and it was priced right, shipped on time, arrived on time, works great.

I bought my 20D with the 17-85 lens at Willoughbys.com for $1795.00. That's a wonderful price for that combo. They shipped it to me promptly. I couldn't have asked for a better transaction!

B&H wanted $1999.95. That's over $200.00 more. I know B&H is a wonderful store but for $200.00, I went to Willoughbys. Willoughby's rating on Resellratings.com is 9.17. That's not too bad. B&H is 9.30. Not a big difference.

Wherever you buy, as a suggestion, check them out on Resellerratings.com. It may save you a lot of grief!

PhotoVillage.com great small NYC shop. I've heard of the NYC camerashop horror stories, but they are an extremely good company. I forgot the exact price of my 20D, I bought all of my components at once. Sandisk Extreme III 1gig, 20D, and 17-85 IS, for $2090ish...and the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS for $1650 I think, it was a graduation present.

Body: Canon 20D
Lenses: Canon 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS | Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS
