Does anyone use the Trio on a bracket, especially in portrait position? I prefer to have a flash rotator bracket and from everything I've been reading the Trio is a heavy head.

If anyone is using the Trio on a bracket, what model are you using?

Should have looked more, but I found this thread showing the qFlash on a Custom Bracket. Would still like to hear from users with actual experience.

Had the opportunity to try the Trio and it is a great flash, much like all of the Quantum products. I use the t5D-r normally and I use this bracket (external link). It is a tad on the heavy side but rugged enough to withstand alot of use. I had gone through a number of brackets for the T5Dr flashes until I found this one at Kirk Photo (external link).

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

That looks awesome and pretty strong! Does that extend up high enough to clear with the battery grip attached? Thanks for the info!

The post that the flash attaches to extends very high.

Well, I pulled the trigger last night and ordered the Kirk bracket and the qFlash Trio to accompany my Turbo SC battery. I'm fed up with recharging AAs at receptions and the inconsistant firing rate of the 580exII and it was time to replace the Stroboframe QuikFlip that kept twisting one me, plus it wouldn't be strong enough to support the Trio.

**Update**Christmas came early, just got this last night, and so far I love it! I also replaced my old Stroboframe Flip bracket to hold this...love it too! At first glance it seems so much smarter than the 580exII, but the big plus for me is that it actually fires every time...no more missed shots! One post I read somewhere stated it seemed like a toy, and granted it has a plastic housing, but it's large and would be alot heavier if it wasn't...still seems like it's durable though.
