Well, a couple from today that you could call "different" -- the 100-400 at 400mm, with a 1.4x TC so 560mm, at f/11 with the 1D3:

Nice stuff Tony! I've tried macro-ish shots with the 100-400 before, but never thought of trying it with a tc too. Except for space stuff, I've not had any luck using a tc.

Thank you Jay, I really appreciate it! I just keep trying and learning, hopefully someday I'll get something close to the quality of work you guys produce.

Yeah Mike, I've been pushing myself! I've gone out a couple times on walkarounds this week with only the one body, lens, and the TC, determined to make it work and get as good pics as I possibly could. And, part of my self-punishment, I only pack a monopod, no tripod!

It's been fun, though -- I've even managed to snag a BIF here and there, although sharp focus can be challenging:
