I've seen this flip screen (movie) before. Sorry, but for me its 24fps or more. But if they made our DSLR's do 30fps at 1920x1080, it would kill Canons commercial business. So don't look for it soon. 5D | 17-40L | Tammy 28-75 2.8 | 28-135 | 50/1.8 | 85/1.8 | Sony A6000 2-Lens Kit | SEL35 1.8 | EF 50 1.8 on NEX as my 75mm 1.8

The term SLR is growing more and more old fashioned, as is SLR technology in general. The primary difference between a digital SLR and a digital EVF camera is that the SLR camera uses a mirror to reflect the image through the viewfinder, while the EVF camera uses the sensor. Both display the image as seen through the lens, but since the EVF camera uses the sensor, it is far more accurate view than an SLR. It is also not slowed down by the mirror, which enables them to shoot video. In the future, maybe 5-10 years, I think most digital cameras will use EVFs, and by then most will be able to do video as well and ultra high frame rates that cannot be attained with a mirror system, but they will probably still be refered to as SLRs because they use the same lens for framing and image acquisition. Either that, or the term SLR will just disappear and they will call the new generation of camera EVFs or TTLs or something. Philip Casciola
