Alaska Day Parade

In Sitka we celebrate the day Alaska was transferred from Russia ownership. Here are a few pictures of this year's parade.

These are very nice. You captured the mood of the day very well, I think. One thing though...where's Sarah Palin?

Thanks for the comments. The pictures were taken with a 5d2 and 70-200 2.8 IS (the 'old' one). Using Av @ 2.8. This is our big parade of the year.

As for Palin...I did not see her in the parade or the crowd so I looked over to Russia and did not see her there either. Word was she was in Russia attending a tea party with Medvedev.....but he refudiated that.
