Comparable flash

Hello,

I know that this is an age old question that probably been asked many times before. I know that the 580 EX II is the best flash out there for the Canon cameras. Unfortunately I am still on a budget and even a used 430 EX is kind of high. I have done a little research and have read a bit about the opteka EF-600 as a budget friendly flash does anyone have experience with one? now please I am aware that I get what I pay for, but really ppl.. $200 for a used 430 EX is still too much for my budget right now.

Also have read a bit about the NISSIN Di622.. but am a little more wary of that one.

I'm not sure I have enough posts to welcome you, but welcome!
I'm not into the small flashes myself, just traded away my own 430EXII for a set of skyports.
But, I'm a frequent reader of strobist.com and this one got my attention if I'm ever going

Syncs with anything, and that makes it budget in my eyes.

the nissin Di622 or Di866 would be great. else if you dont mind, a used 430ex or 580ex.

if $200 is too much consider a Yongnuo ETTL flash like the YN465, ETTL, manual controls, etc. - $65
