"backpack" pictures will be up today. The TT guys got a kick out of it at the show... 2 of them spun around when they saw it because they knew it was one of their bags but not "right". They seemed to like the idea but they could have been being nice? We'll see.

Ben, Can you fit a 24-70 in without reversing the hood? The more I look at this the more I like it. I really don't like backpacks at all and shoulder bags are wearing on me so this may be a great option for me.

I can fit a 100-400 in it ON THE BODY, so I'd imagine so? I just don't own a 24-70 anymore, so I don't know for sure. If you measure it with the hood on I can check...

the depth is 10.25" though, so I'd imagine it's got to fit?

I'll take my usual product shots later, but here's me wearing it in NYC from Friday:

nice, thanks.

i'm still considering this bag. so how do i go about making it into a backpack if i got this bag? what did you have to buy? is it comfortable? did you have to make any modifications (cutting straps, etc)?

thank you!

you buy this (bag): http://www.thinktankphoto.com …matic-20.aspx?code=AP-404 (external link)
and this strap: http://www.thinktankphoto.com …rness-v2.aspx?code=AP-404 (external link)
you then CUT the shoulder strap off (at the stitches, this basically can't be undone) and remove the wedding at the bottom.

I'm quite interested in one of these bags. They are kinda ugly I must admit, but the functionality seems to be there. I love all my other Think Tank bags for their well thought out designs.

I have had so many different bags over the years and progressively I've wound up with mostly all Think Tank bags at this point. I did however recently purchase the Incase Ari Marcopoulos camera bag, that new limited edition sling. I was really disappointed with it when I got the bag, I couldn't fit the gear I wanted in there and it was very uncomfortable when fully loaded.

I'm going to return it to Incase and buy something else. So I'm on the hunt!

I'm no stranger to sling type bags as I have owned and still own several true messenger bags, my favorite one is from a company called Chrome. Its by far the most comfortable across the chest bag I've ever owned, even when fully loaded with all my bike gear and extra clothing/shoes.

My question about the Sling-o-matic is about the original strap, I know you've permanently modified it, but how long was the strap originally? I'm fairly tall and broad shouldered/chested and a lot of chest straps just don't sit comfortably for me, that's always my big issue, and was my issue with the Incase bag.

hi,

i have a sling bag for 1 ungripped cam and 1 ipad (case logic), i have a sling bag for 2 gripped cams (sling o matic 10).

what i don't have is a sling bag for 2 cam bodies and 1 ipad.

can the sling o matic 20 fit an ipad in the "document" pockets in front or in the back? (not inside the main compartment, because i already have a config in the main compartment that works for me)

thanks
