Thanks, I've tried running after them too, and spinning in circles, the worst is when they land on your camera and stick their tongue out at you, and you only have one camera to work with.;) I like finding them early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Looks like a pretty fresh soldier butterfly here base on the wings looking bent the shot this one might not have been able to fly well as it really looks freshly emerged here the image busy but you captured the butterfly very nicely here.

PS this could be a queen butterfly but I favor the soldier based on the markings I can see.

Nice shot. I like the color contrast as well. I sort of like the idea of seeing things in their natural habitat.
