Pretty stoked about this purchase. I thought their price was $1699 + tax but I just saw my invoice and it said $1599 + tax. Ended being $1755.12 with free 2 day FedEx shipping.

Anybody know if eosinfo will work on this camera? Or will Canon send me a detailed invoice along with shutter count on the camera.

I called the Canon Loyalty Program number 1-866-443-8002 and told him that I had a SD870IS that is broken, which it really was (lens won't retract and the display is not in focus). He gave me an option of trying to repair it or trading it in for a different camera. Asked me which model I was interested in and the rest is history.

The guy I spoke to says that it is labeled refurbished but most of the time it is a new camera. They only have to label it refurbished because if they open the box, they have to tag it as refurbished.

That's an awesome price. I was going to get another lens but maybe I'll get a backup 5d2 instead. Now I just need to find a broken p&s.

I have my 5D2 being delivered tomorrow from canon loyalty. At 1680 shipped, this is a hard deal to pass up since it's not much more than a 7D
