I put the 85 f/1.2L in my cart at B&H Photo, walked through the checkout process, entered my CC and sat at the final confirmation page to commit the order and stared at the screen for about 2 minutes straight. Then I clicked the button.

It'll be here tomorrow (UPS Next Day).

I'm sad right now because I just committed $2K. Hopefully that sadness will go away when I un-box it.

It'll go away once the Lens arrives...:)
I done the same with 135 f/2 , 24-105 and 70-200 F/4 IS, felt a bit sick at first but it soon waned once the first parcel arrived.

IMO the regret won't disappear till you see your 1st images and their quality, simply having the lens in your hand will just appease you until you get prints back

I did the same when I bought my 7D. Don't regret it one bit.

Lucky you! I'm jealous and so wanting to pull the trigger myself, but I can't. Enjoy it! Stop agonizing over it!

My favorite lens. You won't regret it. I'm still wow'd everytime I use it.

I just did the samething with my 70-200 2.8 II... Regret is already gone after one day and know I made the right decision! You will do the same. If it helps, think of L lenses as savings. Just in lens form, as they hold value so well in case you ever need the cash. :D

Would it be possible to have them reconsign the lens to my address? I'd be eternally grateful! I'll even call them for you if that's OK. Or, can I just send you my wish list and have you order for me?

Funny thing is I didn't have the same hesitation feeling with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS II. Probably because I had sold my two telephoto lenses at the time (70-200 f/4L and 200 f/2.8L II) and pretty much *HAD* to buy the 70-200 f/2.8L IS II to get the focal range back.
