Canon 5D Error

I have been encountering an issue with my Canon 5D as of last week and its been doing it repeatedly with use between then and now. I will turn the camera on without a problem, but then after a few shots or after its been on for a few mins the screen will go blank except for a blinking battery, which should normally indicate a low/almost empty battery (no dashes indicating low level of charge), but I have tried fixing the problem with three different fully charged batteries and that doesn't seem to matter, I keep getting the same error. Then I turn the camera off and the battery error still blinks, until I open the battery door. I never know when its going to occur, it happened during a shoot and then started working again the next day. The camera will not shoot an image after this error occurs. Help! I've had it less than a year and can't find anything in the manual about this indicator outside of low battery level. Has anyone had this same issue?

It could be the battery door sensor giving in or goofing off from dirt. I'm not exactly sure where it's located exactly, but you might want to look for it and clean around that area in hopes it's just dirt getting in the way.

Good luck.
