Foreground looks a little underexposed. If that was fixed this would be a fantastic shot. I like the composition and that wind/cloud formation looks really neat.

Thanks for taking a look. I tried to brighten it a little but wasn't able to make it look good.

The composition is great...

If you would crop some of the blown out sky, you could get to the point where some fill light would brighten up the foreground and still have a great shot...........:D

.... Got some cameras; got some glass ..... I just need one more of each.....

Great shot - you did a good job getting an exposure that is manageable in PS. It is really hard to catch the range with one shot out there.

I tried some tweaking CS4 to bring out the shadows and adjust levels.

Thanks! It looks much better. I was wishing I had captured it in RAW but I didn't.

Thanks again.

No problem - I am sure others can do a much better job tweaking. Don't you just love Canyonlands? I was there in July and wish I would have had weeks rather than a few hours there.

You have a lot of room to bring out the zip in that image...

Yes, the southwest is almost overwhelming! Sedona, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Arches NP, Canyonlands, Zion, Bryce, Antelope Canyon .... you really need a lot of time and memory cards!

Lovely spot. Was there in September and took some photos (already posted) of that same monument. Looks like you caught a nice dust devil to photograph! Great shot!

Thanks for taking a look. I just checked out your shot ... we were at exactly the same spot!

Is your avatar from Zion? I think I know the spot. We went there too before heading to Canyonlands and Arches. Beautiful place but I think half the world was there with us!

Beautiful image. It was very well composed. The adjustments do help add a little pop to the image though. My wife and I visited the Arches this summer but didn't have time to make it to Canyonland NP. It looks like we should have made time for both. Perhaps next time around.
