Advice on my work pleaseeeeee

Hi everyone. I am trying to put together a portfolio of my sports shots and I am suffering one of those self-awareness crises to where I am questioning if I am good enough to work for a paper/team/agency somewhere in the sports field. Please let me know what I can improve on, your thoughts, anything really, it is much appreciated. Thanks.

I try to find the moments beyond the action that tell a story too so that is why those are in there.

That's cool, but the photo should tell the story all by itself.

To me, #1 says - "Oh! Cool tune!", #2 says ?, I dunno! It doesn't say anything to me.

"We lost, that sux", "I'm hungry", "I've got a rock in my shoe".

??

3 & 4 Absolutely, add more like them! 1&2 I quickly lost intrest in.

Got it! I guess it is just in my eyes the emotional tension of both. Thanks for the input.

5 looks like it coulduse some pp adjustment, but otherwise nice shots

Yeah it is a bit soft in the colors, I should probably boost the saturation a bit. Thanks for the comments.

#5 is really a perfect capture!

for news print - try to show goals, TD, scores and celebrations. The online galleries can show the game action.

agree with others on the great action shots. number 1 looks pretty cool too, nonchalant and careless.

I agree that 3 and 4 catch the effort and emotion, of the two 4 is the better.
