You're House M.D.? :) I can't really take a picture of what I do. Just look down the street for the signs in the yards. I try to prevent this from happening :)

My other guess would've been a computer chip manufacturing plant but that's not in the health care field. A buddy worked at Wafer Tech and had the same getup.

mbellot, I can't confirm nor deny that :) haha

I never thought of that line of work, but I guess I could use my experience within that field aswell.

Actualy that's an image taken in the sterile production facility of LEO Pharma (external link), where I work as a technical consultant on their production line of injectable medications like Innohep, Heparin, Protamine Sulphate, Burinex, Fucidin and One-Alpha.

If you call 911 in North America, chances are you are going to talk to an operator that is on the equipement that my company supplies and my teams support.
I lead support teams on several different applications of 911 equipment and systems. Several are state or provice wide networks. Standard systems up to VoIP self contained networks.
As well, we have the dispatch and communications to field units through P25 radio applications (my specialty). Full end-to-end emergency dispatch services.

I shoot weddings to relax :-)

We make and service the equipment, the fact that the phone rang shows we did our work.

And now, stand-by for the rant:

A recent factor in 911 response is the number of calls now received for every incident. Everyone has a cell phone! Where there use to be 1 or 2 calls for an event, there can now be 20-30 calls in metropolitan centers. Most answering points will prioritize calls coming from a different location over probable repeat calls from the same location; thanks to GPS and CAD mapping they can identify and prioritize. Your cell phone automatically transmits GPS location on 911 calls, even if you have disabled the GPS option (phase II). As well, if it is an older phone, mapping is done through triangulation of cell towers or cell tower location (phase I).

Unfortunately, and this is a little political, good equipment cannot cover for bad management/poor budgetting for staffing and training responders. Sometimes, it just is not supported properly. Those extra fees that are added to your phone bill for 911 rarely go to supporting your 911 system, easy political pickings come budget time.

So, did the call ring 16 times because you were one of a lot of callers on the same incident (which is OK, better to call and wait than to not call) or because your politicians have severly crippled your 911 response system?

It could be worth your life to understand what your local politicians are doing to, or for, your 911 system.

End rant

Now you can understand why shooting weddings is actually relaxing :-)
