Morning all :) Still enjoying those photos from the visit. Glad everyone had a good time.

This I did not quote but meant to:
Crissa, I saw that wedding. And he says he mostly uses fast lenses (85 1.4, 50 1.4 & 14-24 IIRC) and natural light (unless he absolutely has to use flash). You can tell. He obviously exposes to the right as well, since the shadows are so nicely exposed. I LOVE his work.

And I'm sorry about Brandy. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thanks Dan.

This one is really funny to me. Jenn was, I think, reprimanding a kid, or maybe John, the point is she had a really angry face on. She was facing perpendicular to me and I threw the camera up to catch it. Faster than I could release the shutter she swings facing me with that look:lol: It was blinding fast. I think I commented on going from **** to sweet in an instant:lol:

QUOTED IMAGE

hahahaha I SO know this look!

I recognize that lens!

you put the nikon sticker on it, in a moment of solidarity then huh?

Permie found a roaster not more than 5 miles from me. I'll be calling them today. :D

YAY

Dang, i knew I shoulda been in the pub last night to get in on the free delivery. I sure hope you added an address label, otherwise some of those guys might end up a little lost. :D

oh dang, well I did put my address on them...does that count?

FocalPrincess wrote in post #11222882 (external link)
I have to say, with a couple of exceptions, this past week was one of the better ones I've had in a while, and the weekend while Jenn joined us was possibly THE best in a very, very long time. I've not laughed like that in a LONG time. <3

I wish I could find my quote after the get together last year. It's nearly identical to this one.

! You should have specified overnight shipping.

aww dang, there's always something isn't there?

thomascanty wrote in post #11223857 (external link)
But, what about my vacation? I'm supposed to be heading east on Sunday!

Sorry Lonnie, it wasn't listed on the pub calendar....you're gonna have to go with the flow.

Jon wrote in post #11224315 (external link)
He did.

Nope - your road trip has been re-routed. You're heading north, sonny. However, since Permie's relying on the Post Office for shipping, you'll probably go via your previously-scheduled route.

lol. truth.

Morning Harm.

You going to do any of those boat tours on the GBR? Where you can see under the water? Or do you guys snorkel/dive?

and will you be there during the 'have to swim in the enclosures' season? (because of the jellyfish)?

we'll be snorkeling and diving. Never done a dive before, but they do allow introductory diving, and subsequent dives. Should be good fun.

I'm SO jealous (and happy for you too). LOL
See Neil goes places and I love to look at his photos but he's never posted photos of place that I've "always" wanted to go and not, so it's all been cool. No jealousy. I hate traveling but there are three places I want to see before I die. Scotland, AU & Egypt.

I'll be sure to take plenty of photos for you!!

I'd love to go to Egypt too.. but I think next time, I'll drag my wife to Argentina. It would be nice to go to Buenos Aries. She wants to go to Germany!! But that will not be happening any time soon!!!

Yo, Kit. It's too bad you don't watch TV. There's a commercial that's been running recently that you'd just love! It's for a new show called The Hasslehoffs.

 Yet one more reason to not have television.

Zane, I can actually sing that one.  We often attend the bi-lingual Mass, and that's the Gloria that we sing. (every other verse is in English though).

Neat. I am thinking this group was from a Spanish speaking country other than central America. I pick up on and recognize some spanish from working with so many folk from Central America. The accent was wrong, really wrong to the point I did not realize it was spanish he was speaking until Diane just said something in her post. I hope someone posts the group because from memory they did not look like your typical group from one place. It was a very mixed crowd.

We were coming off the Lincoln Memorial when he started singing ad I looked over and saw him in good light. He had a lot of charactor so I dashed over and snapped a few.

OK - got to give John back his computer, so I will see you all tonight, when we get home.

Yup, that's you  See you tonight.

Yeah, but he's never been around the two of you together...

Not a problem....not even a problem if the kids are along. I've spent time with all of them and never had an issue. (Except the kids wanting to keep my dogs!)
