here's a handwriting self eval...be interesting to see what people get from it
http://www.hwa.org/SelfEval.shtml (external link)

There are many things that are scarily spot-on, and a couple that are just wrong...

Using the above information, then: You tend to move confidently in the world and don't need much encouragement in order to believe in yourself in general... at least on the surface. But what's behind that when one really peers a little closer? Are you sure that your signature slope is truly wandering? It's a little unusual that slope in so small a space wanders, but it's possible. If that's indeed the case, then you probably have some questions about who you are and have some trouble being stably consistently YOU. Do people ever say you're stiff and stoic? Is it hard for you to get a move on yourself when it comes to social situations? Seems you might want to loosen up a bit! Hmmm... So you like to be one person out in the world and another person in the privacy of your own space, eh? Interesting. Does that also mean that you have multiple personalities? (Probably not but then... who knows!? You could be a hard one to figure out! ;-)a
Wow! You really are attached to keeping within the bounds and limitations of other people's view of the rules, eh? Have you never much felt like jumping outside of the mold, and putting in your own personal flair? Did people in school always say, "Well, TCanty can really produce! Great Worker!" and you were heavily motivated by this encouragement? Are you still trying to be noticed mostly by how well you can 'color between the lines'? Perhaps it's hard to be TCanty in terms of that need to strive so hard to be the Good Little Being who Conforms? Not to put too fine a point on it, but sometimes being yourself might be a better idea than just fitting in, conforming, striving always just to please others. The world -already- appreciates TCanty you know? I guess that you must be something of a sentimentalist, eh? Do people ever say, "Oh, yeah: TCanty can really be an old softie sometimes! A real kind soul." But then, this can get you into trouble sometimes, too, though, because you can have a difficult time saying "No!" and can feel guilty for not being All things to All People!!You likely tend to be a quite quiet person and don't like to rock the boat. You probably are a careful reader, and don't like to jump to conclusions about anything.

Mine too. Dan's too. But the parts that were correct...they were extremely correct.

did any of you know that "winned" is a word? I cannot figure that one out. Won is the past tense of win...so why is winned a word? So STUPID. GAH. I swear that the people who write the current dictionary just scan the web for words people use. Ignorant or not.

It's no wonder our kids are growing up so blasted ignorant. I see posts on FB from kids...they can't spell, they don't use punctuation. They use wrong words...and text speak for real life...

I can't tell you how happy I am when I hear here that parents are still reading to their kids, or have instilled a love of reading in them. You wouldn't believe how many kids I talk to who say "books? why?" or something of the like...

I wonder why language is so fluid (considering how they used to speak/write)...

sigh. /end rant.

It's in the scrabble dictionary as an allowable word and it's here:

it's NOT in Websters though!

We had to pay for an over weight bag yesterday - talk about a rip off

It is all part of flying and airlines trying to stay afloat. We paid $90 on our Oregon trip for one over weight bag. We ended up shipping a box of rocks and stuff Leyla collected. It was like $25

No kidding. About an hour ago, Larry, our pet Wooly Mammoth that we thawed out from one of the Mt. Hood glaciers last Spring (boy, is THAT a story), went on a rampage and flattened our neighbor's house. No, really, FLATTENED the house. It's partly my fault as I haven't been able take him out for a walk lately. I can't take him to the dog parks anymore, not after the Chihuahua incident in August. Anyway, the neighbor lady is upset, obviously, because she doesn't have a Wooly Mammoth rider on her home insurance (like that's MY fault?). So now Larry, who just acts like a big puppy, is having a time out in our backyard. Poor little guy's all upset, doesn't understand. He's in some pain, too, because he had a microwave stuck in his footpad. I took it out, but it's a little swollen. Neighbor Lady didn't seem to care about that AT ALL.

Oregon Duck's are #1 in the college football rankings.
Alabama is #2.

There are some schools of thought that the ducks don't have as hard a schedule as Alabama and don't deserve to be #1 but then there are those of us who think that they are beating some of the best teams out there so...they deserve it & would win in a championship game.
