<------------has never tasted eggnog, spiked or virgin

(or tripe or haggis or squid cooked in it's own ink, or well, lots of stuff...but since it's the holidays, I thought I'd just mention the eggnog thing)

Nice. I wish I could keep some nice bottles in the house for occasional consumption and cooking. Unfortunately if it is here it does not last. Leyla does not believe in storing alcohol

Heres to a good organ.

:lol::lol:

Egg nog is yummy but some, okay most, is too strong and noggy for my taste. Whatever that means. I may get a glass down.

this one? I didn't know anyone liked it. It's one of my fav's too (it's a glass window texture oh and a piece of wallpaper)
I also love the balloon one

Those are GORGEOUS! I've missed seeing a lot of good photos around here!

This is through the glass window and big time cropped. I think he is a Coopers hawk but I struggle between them and sharp shinned hawks.

Cool bird Z! We have hawk birds that fly around because we live near fields. They hunt there. I have never seen one in my yard though. I'd be afraid it would eat my other birds! I think ours are kites.

how funny...in the 1800's, prisoners in the state of Maine complained of cruel and unusual punishment if they were served lobster more than once a week.

Poor sods. To think - lobster more than once a week. Hmmm - I wonder if they got fresh hot butter with it too - dreadful!

ATHENA: I've yet to say hi to you. It's nice to see you back around our little pub again. Your boys have sure grown up.

Hi! Yeah, they are getting big. I tried to stop them, but it hasn't worked yet. Another couple of years and Matthew will be as tall as me. Maybe sooner! We spotted some mustache hairs growing in already... **faint**

s'ok. I was alone and none of my friends answered their texts so I stayed alone.

That is so seriously sad Permie. :(

That made me a little bit sick. And the guy talking - he scares me.

It was my granddaughter here's the pic, crappy cell phone shot, the pic was high up on the wall, she's the cute on eon the right.

Aw - she is SUPER cute. I can see why they want her in their ads!

That foot was attached to this bird:
Those aren't crops. We were close.

We have a lot of these birds here, which surprised me at first because I was only used to seeing them in marshes. Here they hang out (sometimes in masses, but spaced apart) in fields! I guess they are catching rodents.

Evening folks, long, weird day here.

Sorry to hear about your bad news Diane. I hope she pulls out of it. It would be a great Thanksgiving present to have her wake up just fine. Fingers crossed.

I have a family portrait shoot tomorrow...

I had one last night. It went better than I had expected. I hope the same is true for you! :)

Happy turkey day! I'm celebrating with a nice loaded eggnog. Definitely holiday spirits involved. hehehe

Yummy!! I haven't had eggnog in literally years. I can't drink much of it (too thick and rich), but I do like to sip on a glass slowly. Maybe we'll make some this year! :D

Lonnie - I forgot to click on the quote thingie on your post. But want to say that I'm sorry your commute is so dreadful. Maybe you could listen to some audiobooks while you are in the car? That always helps me pass unpleasantly long travel times. ;)

and

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

We are going over to a friend's house to celebrate with a couple of families. I'm bringing a salad and a pumpkin pie (which I need to go make). I'm especially grateful this year on this day because last year Mike was in Japan for Thanksgiving and the kids and I were here alone and sick. I didn't cook anything. We had a wonderful surprise though - an American family that we know here brought us take-away from their Thanksgiving dinner. So sweet.

Thanks, it is in the yard to eat birds at my feeders. I am fine with that. It is not often, but a few times a year we see hawks hit the feeder and I enjoy seeing them doing their natural thing. Just so long as they don't eat Mr. White Ears. Erm, he is a squirrel I am fond of

Oh yeah, Nature is fine, leave it alone to do it's thing - but NOT if it's after my favorite squirrel!! lol

I just wish we had squirrels here. I think they're cute. They don't come into the neighborhood though. As a matter of fact the only reason I know they exist here is because I saw a squashed one out on a country road. :(

That IS a sweet story! :) Much better than this one, but this one is also a reason to chip your pets. :(
