'tis still a car. A convertible is a car, a sedan is a car, a wagon is a car, a cross-over(still kinda an SUV) is a car, an SUV is a car unless it is built on a truck frame (then it is a truck), and most are uni-bodies now. My Pilot is a car. :p
And that is the way this fella sees it.

That fella sees it wrong. It doesn't make a difference what the frame was originally intended for!

A car is a squat thing that doesn't tip over when it goes around a corner fast (I mean, *really* fast!). An SUV is a taller thing that just might tip over when it goes around a corner fast. A "truck" is just too broad of a term to define properly, but generally speaking, they're big and tip over a lot.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving (Jim - hope you had a good non-Thanksgiving) Day.

I have to agree, that an SUV is not a truck. Nor is it a car. I call Maddie my 'rig' lol.

And because John's irrational prejudice against SUV's driven by women (:p) I will just say that I have encountered more irrational driving behavior from old men in hats. In fact, my sis and I, when telling driving horror stories, will interrupt to ask if it was 'an old man in a hat'. :p

Here we assume it is a woman of Asian extraction. Being in a predominantly Asian area of NJ there are some truly frightening drivers.

Here you just add old to that very description for the worst drivers.

Interesting...

When I'm traveling and a long way from home, I've noticed that the worst drivers are women in big honkin' SUVs, tailgating an inch or two behind my bumper trying to get me to drive faster, no matter what lane I'm in.

But... During my normal, every day commute to work and back, the worst offenders, who exhibit the exact same behavior(!!!) are old men wearing those frumpy old hats, as they lean over the steering wheel in their late 80s to mid 90s plain vanilla car that looks like every other plain vanilla car.

I had at least a dozen of those old men ride my bumper on my way home from work today, tailgating within inches of the back end of my car as we both sped along at 15+ mph above the speed limit, until they finally lost their patience with me since I obviously wasn't going to get the hell out of their way, so they'd swerve dangerously through traffic in the next lane to get around me, then mysteriously continue merrily on their way at a speed about 10 mph slower than we were going to begin with...

Seriously... I JUST. DON'T. UNDERSTAND. PEOPLE.

I will add drivers from Washington to list of annoying  They tend to clog the passing lane on the freeway. Most annoying!
