Hey Everyone. Home from a really nice day at my cousin's house.

Did you all see that Adobe is offering PSE 9 for 49 bucks right now? That's a STEAL.

Thanks for the heads up, looks like that'll be my Black Friday purchase.:D

does anyone in here get up and go to those black Friday sales?

Me, I hide in the house. I HATE shopping at the best of times. At the worst I'd rather be runover by a tumbleweed until I'm dead and my corpse left to desiccate in the desert.

speaking of tumbleweeds, did Dan ever tell you his tumbleweed story? A boy, his imagination, a love for cartoons and tumbleweeds don't mix. But it leaves the hearer laughing until they cry.

We had a WHITE Thanksgiving! More snow today and more in the forecast. Looks like we'll be sledding after soccer practice tomorrow. :)

'tis still a car. A convertible is a car, a sedan is a car, a wagon is a car, a cross-over(still kinda an SUV) is a car, an SUV is a car unless it is built on a truck frame (then it is a truck), and most are uni-bodies now. My Pilot is a car. :p
And that is the way this fella sees it.

Me too - my SUV is also a car. And mine is pronounced Tee-gu-on. lol

Interesting...

I had at least a dozen of those old men ride my bumper on my way home from work today, tailgating within inches of the back end of my car as we both sped along at 15+ mph above the speed limit, ...

Wow Lonnie - either they were driving itty bitty cars or you have a really wide bumper!

We just finished our Thanksgiving. I did the cooking......Turkey stuffing/dressing, bean casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, and a store-bought pumpkin pie (not yet served). This is substantially the same meal we've been eating since those days back in Scranton at Lois' grandmother.

The big difference between then and now is not the food, or even the quality of the food. It's the thinning crowd at the table. Back then there were usually 10 or 12 people eating together. Now, most of them have passed, and it's down to just Lois, Pat, and me. Today, Pat decided to go golfing, so it's just Lois and me. **sigh**

The other big difference between now and then, there were 3 people to do the cooking, Lois' mom, aunt, and grandmother. Lois' uncle carved the turkey. That was his one and only job, but he was a master at it. There were a few small kids to shuttle dirty dishes from the dining room to the kitchen, and others to actually do the dishes.

Now, I do everything. Literally EVERYTHING.

Thanksgiving wears me out, but I truly am thankful for the opportunity to do it, and the ability to do a halfway decent job of it.

I am so far away that even if I set off early, I would only arrive in time for the eatin'

Just got back from my first black Friday jaunt. Got up at 3am, stood outside for a 1/2+ in 18 degree temps. The line was already 600+ to get into the store. Once in it was a mad rush to the electronics, toys and small appliance departments with probably 1500+ of my closest friends. I did not score any of the advertised deals, but left with a 40" LCD and a $10 gift card. This will probably be my last black Friday, I'll go back to shopping Christmas Eve.
