My son will be leaving for the Philippines on the 29 and will be gone for a couple weeks ,I'm happy for him and my DIL ,her sisters getting married .

of the nikon guys lives in the Philippines and he's been posting gorgeous photos from there, recently. I'm sure they'll enjoy the tropical warmth.

what are you doing for Christmas? Our plans went from super lowkey to ohmygosh I've got to make lists in just half a day.

so bizarre...so I'm sitting here in the garage, door open...roasting coffee.

Around the corner of my garage comes this cat, I've never seen it before...walks in the garage like he owns the place. He hasn't seen me or heard me (I'm in stealth Permie mode apparently.) So I say "Hi. What are you doing?" really softly but apparently he was feral. And I'm glad I was not anywhere near him when he freaked out.

I'm so excited too Deb. We'll be cramped but happy. My mom and step-father are coming down for Christmas day too (but not spending the night) so we'll have Tif, Brian, the babies & Gus for overnight. But we get Tif and family for 7 whole days!! I'm in heaven. They come Christmas eve and leave NY eve.

We will likely have the typical immediate family tribe, just over 20. I think we will be at one of my brothers this year though.

We have friends flying in from out of town to party for the weekend. They should be pulling up to our house any minute now. There are about 16 of us going out to dinner, then to see a couple good bands, have some cocktails, maybe dance a bit. See you all in the morn.

Why do you have to stay there while roasting? Doesn't the roaster just do it's own thing without help?
