We have woken up to a blanket of snow, Harley obviously remembers it from last year and immediately started rushing around and eating it, Sookie is not so sure :-)

I live just outside of a small town called Nuneaton, very close to here is a small army camp for Gurkhas. They have recently returned from Afganistan and will be parading through the town this afternoon.

Unfortunately this has become a real issue. There may be a few people there protesting about our participation in the war,in my view that is their right and that is why we live in a free democracy. There is a militant anti muslim organisation called the English Defense League who now plan to flood into our small town to have "a presence". It will not have a good outcome :-(

Too bad they can't just be supported and recognized for their hard work and sacrifices. Somebody always has to make a stink....get large groups of vastly different viewpoints and for sure, things can get mighty ugly. Hope it doesn't get out of hand.

Hi Zane hows the horses doing ?

Hi Deb! They are good. We bought them all brand new rain sheets so they stay dry and warm.

Permagrin wrote in post #11350437 (external link)
I'm so excited too Deb. We'll be cramped but happy. My mom and step-father are coming down for Christmas day too (but not spending the night) so we'll have Tif, Brian, the babies & Gus for overnight. But we get Tif and family for 7 whole days!! I'm in heaven. They come Christmas eve and leave NY eve.

Sweet!

Come on over!

I woke up to Christmas. Traditionally, we decorate the day after Thanksgiving. It is a big affair with my girls and myself. Nikki stayed the night last night in order to be able to help this morn, lol.
Apparently, they could not contain themselves and began early, staying up until 2 a.m. to deck the halls/walls/windows
There are still a few finishing touches, but Christmas is here! We listened to Christmas music all day *grin*

:)!

I was probably about 5 years old........I know, even now, in my heart, that my blood brother, the Tumbleweed, still roams free across the Morongo Valley, wondering what the heck happened that lone night, 41 years ago.

:lol:!!!! That is such a funny well told story, Dan. Lol!

D'OH!

They're a little hesitant to trust the treat lure tonight. They sort of got suckered into that this afternoon while prepping for their mani's and pedi's.

Just promise them you will set up the miniture tea table and tea set for a dress up picnic in the yard.

I am sorry, Neil. Protest and counter protest are fine but often the case is many are in it for the fight not the cause. They make a mockery of the freedom we have.

I have seen a bunch of videos recently of the EDL group and the troubles over there.

Great shots! I don't know what it is about snow that dogs love so much, but it sure is fun to see them get so excited. Ashley always loved the white stuff. Minnie wasn't too sure about it at first, though. Then, she once tried to jump on top of a snow bank and ended up getting buried inside it, and ever since then she's been positively nuts about the stuff!
