Adventurous chil'ens.
See that 'cave' way up there?

They hiked to it. (And me with only my Tammy 28-75!)

They couldn't quite make it to the cave after they got up there. It was sheer cliff. I give them an A+ for effort though!

The little boys loved playing with the dogs.

My brother's gorgeous dog, Gracie.

She IS gorgeous!!! Something about that name! :D

The kids thought it was great fun to play fetch with Amikah using fluffy snowballs that would disintegrate on impact. She'd catch them, they'd disappear, then she'd run around frantically searching for it, and they would all howl in laughter thinking that was the funniest thing ever.

Nice! Good for her diet. ;)

awww...little boys and dogs...such a great combination. I hope Jawa will be more comfortable with our dogs. They were a bit overwhelming to him at 1+ year old.

And Gracie is a beauty. Is she a full golden or a golden mix?

Love the kids and dogs combination. :)

No idea. I think she's probably a mix.

I live just outside of a small town called Nuneaton, very close to here is a small army camp for Gurkhas. They have recently returned from Afganistan and will be parading through the town this afternoon.

Unfortunately this has become a real issue. There may be a few people there protesting about our participation in the war,in my view that is their right and that is why we live in a free democracy. There is a militant anti muslim organisation called the English Defense League who now plan to flood into our small town to have "a presence". It will not have a good outcome :-(

I hope for the best for your community, Neil. These kinds of demonstrations can certainly go south quickly.

The weather is very local, we woke up with about 4 inches of snow, We took the dogs out no more than 2 miles down the road and it was just a light dusting.

How fun! It is fun, watching a pup play in the snow!

very nice! I love how Sookie looks like such a character  And Harley really has matured into a nice looking dog. Is she full grown now? Proportionately she's looking like she is.

She is pretty much fully grown now, she may fill out a little more. You are spot on about Sookie, she is a great character :-)

lol!!

I just put the kraken on a diet this morning. Pachie is losing weight. Marlowe is gaining. He's nearly as big as Pachie now. It's so crazy. But the reason he's on a diet...his "bean removal" stomach pouch..is HUGE  Pachie never got one. He's never been over weight...tends toward being too thin. But The kraken looks like he's planning on hibernating for the winter. So the wet food has been cut in half. I'm hoping P doesn't let him eat his portion.

Morning all. Fighting a cold. ungh.

That sucks....start the vitamin C.

me too. I always think I'm going to edit.

What do they say? The road to hell is paved with good intentions?

Did you buy the elements 9?

Yes....Not much different than 7.....does seem a bit quicker responding to some things....

oh yay. Well glad they caught him.
It's not very often that you hear of radicals coming out of OSU. It's such a geek school (great school but way less "school spirit" and much more academia than any of the other Oregon colleges)

Was bizarre to see that link on my desk this morning. Glad it didn't come to fruition.

awww...little boys and dogs...such a great combination. I hope Jawa will be more comfortable with our dogs. They were a bit overwhelming to him at 1+ year old.

Perhaps with him being a year older and Kona being slightly calmer! There is always the Kraken to occupy his time. hehehe

And Gracie is a beauty. Is she a full golden or a golden mix?

Gracie is indeed a pretty pup. Amikah swallowing the snowball is a hoot.

well it didn't quote all your comments, dunno why...but yes, I'm hoping that K and the Jbird will have a good time. Kona loves children. Neither he or Hale (yet) have jumped on them. But I think it's because they are still unsure what to do with small humans. Dan said he's going to try and wear Kona out every morning so he's even calmer while they are here. But yesterday, after their whistle practice, Kona was even more hyped up than normal...had the rips all day. You just can never know with him. The day before, we took them for a walk and they came back and slept all day.

I blame my horrid facial expression on the fact that I was IN the smoke. I couldn't breathe. It was awful.
