All-clad is high end stuff with professional construction and performance. My skillet alone was over $200. It will last a life time so I don't mind. I do remember being very impressed at the set I saw at costco many years ago.

I freely admit, I bought the set because we were moving, I'd used my old stuff to death and wanted something new. It seemed very sturdy and I liked that it was copper bottom. So I bought it. I haven't been sorry. It was a bit more back then ($249 I think) but not a bad price at all, for a sturdy set of pans. But I knew nothing about good cook ware. Just needed some and bought them. I've been really pleased though. I use them a lot too.

My personal collection of pots and pans would scare most cooks....other than the good cast iron skillets....I have a mix of cast off crap. hehehe

There is a lot of no name stuff that is professional quality available through restaurant supplies places. I, like many home cooks have expensive kitchen knives with nice handles. For a tenth of the price you can get good quality steel with cheep plastic handles.

I just looked. All-clad is 18/10 aluminum/stainless just like yours. All-clad had come don a lot but still your set is a great buy for nice stuff.

I have the song "You can Leave Your Hat on" performed by Joe Crocker. It's a great song. I like it and thought I'd share. So I went to youtube and found it and linked it here. So it seemed fine. I recognized that it was two well known actors in the clip so I figured the video would be fine. But no. Leave it to me to post a freakin' strip tease here on the thread. I figured they'd just fade to black or something. Holy crap.

Wait. How'd you get peanut brittle from Lisa?! When I didn't! :p:p

Look at Jim, I think she admires men with well shaved heads. Hey, why don't you shave yours, post up a CURRENT photo, then check your mailbox in a few days. I'll bet she'll send you some.:D
