Morning.
SO TIRED of the pouring rain. Just sayin'

Nice shots this morning :)

I have to bother you all again for prayers and good thoughts. Got a call this morning from my Mom. MB is in the hospital again, tomorrow they will be doing surgery to remove a brain tumor. All are optimistic on the surgery, but cancer is evil and who knows where else it maybe lurking. Even though they did a full CAT scan, one never knows. So please send good stuff too both my MB and my mom, it has been a rough year for her, she doesn't need this added worry. And it dawned on me this is the same time of year her own mother died while in surgery for a brain tumor back in the early 60's.

TIA

Will do, Becky. I hope all goes well. Keep us posted.

Got two (same as every year) - one travel and one dogs . . .
Galapagos

Potomac Pekes

Both benefit Potomac Valley Pekingese to the tune of $6/copy.
What's a General gotta do to get some respect around here? (Aside from not showing off dressed in an apron and very little else.)

Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and Schroedinger's Cat as applied to Google. The act of commenting on a Googlewhack will destroy it.

Wishes going out for your MB, Becky.

I clicked on the galapagos one. It says $20. I was just wondering how you managed to get Lulu.com down to 6? I never get that sort of price.

By the way...in your consideration to re-locate, maybe to Oregon, just know the winter rains do wear on a person. It depends where you live, how bad they get but the constant grey/rain really can get you down.

I haven't had coffee in maybe six months. Don't tell Permie...

what?!? *crosses Lonnie off the "nice" list and puts him on the "naughty"*

Whatcha gotta do, is have some extra Lisa's in reserve, then your chances of goodies increase drastically. ;)

truth

Are you implying that apron shots don't garner respect?
Hmmm.....decisions, decisions, go for respect or feel free. :p

go with freedom

LISA, I bought the 4lb pack of JBM from that guy in Toronto. If it ends up being good, I will maybe get more. Will keep you informed. I will want to do some practicing with my roasting before trying that.

A brand new Hottop roaster just sold at auction on eBay for $405 + shipping. That seems like a great deal.

I am interested. Your beans should be nearly indecipherable from the Sigri that you purchased. In color and size (size may vary depending on what grade you bought...if you bought triage then it will have some as big as the Sigri and other random sizes in there). Color should be nearly identical.

And the only bad thing about purchasing the hotop on ebay is if there's an issue, no customer support. But yes, that is a very good buy.

oh ya I"ll take a calendar of all the guys here *SWoon**

oooo this morning just keeps getting better! *raises hand* I'll take one too! The TPBM men definitely should get their ladies to take pictures of them for a 2011 calendar! I'm sure there would be several ladies here that would be willing to help with the design :lol:

Let it be written, let it be done

You get to be the VP then Harm, with a good chance of succeeding Lonnie after he retires from the position.

"Both benefit Potomac Valley Pekingese to the tune of $6/copy." - not "Sale price is $6 a copy". Production cost for 1-4 copies is $12.49 apiece; I set the purchase price at $20 and Lulu takes 20% of the difference, leaving $6.01 for PVPC. For the club, I took pre-orders through Dec. 1 and used my bulk purchasing to get my cost down to $9-$10 at the same retail price so the club gets $10. Anyone who buys one gets a statement that $6 (on-line) or $10 (direct) is considered a tax-deductible charitable contribution since we're a recognized 501(c)(3) charity. Buying in bulk and sending them out myself I can charge less shipping than Lulu does, as well. I've been doing this since 2007. We usually pre-sell around 40 copies and pick up another dozen or so on-line sales. Every little bit helps.

They do have an aluminum core, I just looked at the paperwork (yes, I save stuff like that) and then the copper bottom. Interesting. I'd never heard of all-clad before.

Heather just bought me a set of Emerilware by All-Clad. (external link) I'd been wanting stainless cookware for a while and this was on sale at the Exchange.

I have the song "You can Leave Your Hat on" performed by Joe Crocker. It's a great song. I like it and thought I'd share. So I went to youtube and found it and linked it here. So it seemed fine. I recognized that it was two well known actors in the clip so I figured the video would be fine. But no. Leave it to me to post a freakin' strip tease here on the thread. I figured they'd just fade to black or something. Holy crap.

Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger? That scene is one of the tamer ones in the movie...

FocalPrincess wrote in post #11422272 (external link)
yes, yes I do...problem is covering both. Hopefully there will be a lull between the speakers and the flyover so that I can fiddle quickly with the settings...

Two cameras... One with a long lens and settings for airplanes and another with a short lens and people settings. It's how I usually shoot an airshow.

What is it with people who talk before coffee? There should seriously be a law against it or something.

monkeygirl wrote in post #11422673 (external link)
I get to have that every morning, as you know.

FocalPrincess wrote in post #11422768 (external link)
And you saw me nearly lose it after just a week, too. You're being nominated for sainthood, putting up with it every morning.

I'm hoping it stays at bay through the weekend. Turns out the surgery isn't exactly scheduled. Since he isn't an emergency they are working at fitting MB into the schedule for either tomorrow, probably afternoon or Saturday morning. I'll be driving Mom up to Madison to wait with my SIL.
