Well I finally went ahead and pulled the trigger, waiting on 70-200 2.8 was just not gonna do any longer, called today and turned in a broken p&s for a 7d and 17-40L. Broken point and shoot was given to me by a member of our local Camera Club Now I just sit and wait for arrival. Have to pick up that 70-200 a little later!

I am very interested in what you think about the upgrade. I have a Rebel XS as well and I am dying to move up to either the 7D or the 60D.

got 60d a few months ago (from the loyalty program) and love it - feels really substantial compared to a rebel. I was happy I spend the extra money.

Recieved 7d and 14 to 40 L this evening, charging battery, I can not find anything that is not perfect on the camera at this time, had my wife look it over as well and can not find so much as a single mark to indicate it was ever used, I can not wait to get out and give it a try in the morning!!

Just got back from vacation, total not including shipping and tax was $1,822.56 for both the 7d and lens. Asked the rep about the price someone else i knew paid and he said nope this is the price, so i bought it.

Thank You Canon...I love the CLP! I just received my 7D and it has only 133 actuations.

ive got some money and its kind of burning my hands so i was thinking a 2nd 7D would go perfectly for my 2nd body! just like back in my film days when i shot an F1n and a back up AE1. i was able to keep two different lenses mounted and made shooting a breeze...

of course if i had another body, i might be tempted to move back to primes from zooms...

I believe it's 2 per year.

Received my 60d today with a 750 shutter count. Now I need to learn how to use it.

I got email saying 70-200 2.8 IS ii is back in stock. Too bad i'm not ready to buy one yet, hope this helps someone.

Alright I pulled the trigger and grabbed a 5D plus 24-105! Ahhhh! Been thinking about this for about three years... I hope I love it!

I just got mine 2 days ago, and I am seriously blown away! The clarity and colors are amazing, and I was able to shoot at ISO 1600 tonight when my flash batteries died. Never looking back and questioning this purchase.

Came today as I was leaving for an evening shift. Can't play with it now but I wanted to check shutter count.... 47!! The thing looks brand new. Can't wait to play tomorrow.
