Canon Loyalty Program - FAQ's

Day 6 of waiting for the 5Dm3 & 24-105 combo. I suppose that's the "curse" of living in Hawaii. Glad to see you all have had such great results with your m3's.

25, damn! That's awesome. My 7D came with 142 clicks but 25 is even better!

Unfortunately, I'm suddenly experiencing "equipment overload." I've been shooting on a 50D since 2009 and am "perfectly content." What in the world am I doing on a 5Dm3? I have no business shooting on something so fancy...it's about the light, scene, and experience, not the equipment...

You've bought it already. That page has been turned, that ship has sailed, etc. - use the metaphor ofcyour choice. Now go out and enjoy shooting with one of the finest photographic tools ever made!

I just finished ordering a 5D3 via the loyalty program (recycling an old Sure Shot film camera in the process).

The agent informed me that as of a few days ago the warranty term was increased from 90 days to 1 year for all cameras on the loyalty program.

If you're on the fence about this program, this may be an incentive to use it!

I got a 5D2 two years ago via the loyalty program and was slightly bummed when my camera showed up with 9K clicks... but hey, for a camera rated for 150K clicks, that was basically nothing, and it was a fantastic camera. (And it will be showing up in the marketplace in, oh, five to seven business days from now... )

Anyway to check pricing on items in the loyalts program? I'm looking to purchase a 24-105mm

I believe you need to call them to get the current pricing. Plus, I think you have to get a camera body in order to get a lens as well.

See the first page. Lenses can be purchased only with a camera.

Amazon is sending back a camera I was selling them, I think it's because it occasionally doesn't power on (error). So I'll be selling that for the CLP program when I get it back. I'll put it in the sell forum, but if you're hard up for one PM me.

That's been the pricing since the 5DMIII was added to the program (other bodies are at 20%)

Thanks smacatl... that's good to know for the future as I might want to buy a Rebel.
