Yeah curious (not enough to call) what the 7D is at now. Also is 70D part of the program yet?

I come here for your expert opinion. Please do not hesitate to critique or edit.

the 7d will be 20% less than the full price of the 7d refurb on canon's site. so the 7d is 1200 (almost) so it would be 960 I think on the lprogram.

Just wanted to mention: the 85 1.8 is not on the list at the moment. Had to pay "full" price for it.

The 6D is still on though.

Please forgive me if this info. is buried some where in the 316 pages but I have a few simple questions.

Is there a list of cameras that are available for the CLP discount or do I need to call and ask the refurb department with specific models?

If there's no list, are the 5D Mark III and 1DX subject to the discount?

Thank you.

As far as I know there is not a published list, you'll need to call and check what is currently under the program and what is currently available in stock (in stock products will show on the CUSA website, but the site does not identify anything about the CLP)

Last I checked, the 5DMIII was under the program but the 1DX was not.

Good luck!

One more suggestion -

If you're interested in a 1DX there is a gray market sale linked on the Market Forum. Sale price is $4800 but since it's Gray Market it will come without a US warranty.

I just called and the list is still the same. I just asked about the price on the 7D because the canon web page list refurb price is now 959 it is also 959 on the CLP program so you dont get any extra discount.

No discount unless you trade them a $10 camera, then it's 15-20% off, right?

I think it's 10-20% off... but yes you'll need to trade in a crappy broken-down Canon camera. I got mine on eBay from this seller (super nice guy and make sure your camera has a serial number just in case Canon asks): http://stores.ebay.com …op=2&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14 (external link)

When I ordered my 7D, Canon e-mailed a return shipping label to me. I set the label aside and got real busy doing other things. I figured that whenever they sent me a "reminder notice" that then I would know that they were really serious about the trade in camera.

The hours became days, the days became weeks and the weeks soon became months, with no word from Canon about the trade in camera. That was about 3 years ago and I am yet to hear anything from Canon. My 7D sure is nice though!

Just a quick update on the 3 bodies I asked about, as of 10/30/14.
Currently $767.50 for a refurbished 7D (20% off), $1357.28 for a 6D (10% off) and no 70Ds available.

Nice see they dropped 7D price. I called a few weeks ago to see what bodies they offered and 7D was still 959
