Adorama has to be the fastest shipper I've ever experienced. I ordered a new 7D two weeks ago via standard and it came the next day, lol. I'm always shocked at how fast the packages arrive.

Adorama is in New York, so even standard shipping (ground) will only take 1, maybe 2 days, anywhere in New York or nearby, since they only have to drive it up the road.

I live in Chicago, so I've never figured out why it's so fast. Also, I find that everything new I get from them feels "fresh" as opposed to other places I've ordered from (name withdrawn for fear of a flame war, lol).

Feedback on buyers who got a 50D. I'm pulling the plug at the end of the week.

Yeah that's not refurbished, that's USED. lol.

I almost sent back my wifes, not due to the shutter count, but from the top screen being scratched up. I was under the impression that the refurbs were supposed to come in "like new" physical condition.

53k is a lot. but who knows whether canon has a way to reset the shutter counts?

Just got my 50D this week!! 75 Clicks - I came from a D60 (circa 2002) - could not be happier - $708 to my door with a 28-135 lens (~$130 difference). NICE camera. Decent lens. Both are GREAT value!!

I think the customer service at CLP is much better than the general Canon direct as well, I was not happy with a Canon direct experience, but CLP has been great.

Now if I could only get the email with my CLP trade-in shipping label - I'd be in good shape. I've been on the phone with CLP every other day this week. They say that there are problems with the label email and are going to push it to me manually this time.

I don't know if the lady at CLP made a mistake, but I was told that the XS with kit lens was now $319.99, which is the old price of the body only (why I think she may have made a mistake, although I asked her to repeat that one).

The prices on the front page.
Canon XS - $319.99
Canon XS with 18-55 Kit Lens - $399.99

Which means it has changed since the prices on the front page are after the discount normally.

I called to double check and the prices posted on the front page are correct. The Customer Service Representative that I spoke with was very sharp and was very familiar with all the models and pricing, of course you may get a different answer when you call.

The XS Body only is no longer available, and the 50D body only option is currently out of stock. As expected the 5D Mark II is no longer part of the CLP, and currently is not available even as a straight refurbished purchase (could be a result of being out of stock).

I have updated the front page to reflect the XS, but will not try and keep up with availability due to in stock / out of stock.

As always your best source of information is to pick up the phone.

Pricing for all available models is located on the front page of the thread about half way down. The pricing is current, but your best source of information is to call the number on the front page. The Customer Service Representatives at the CLP are very polite and will patiently answer any question you have.

I was quoted $1087 base price for the 7D today.
Couldn't justify that to my checkbook so I went for the 50D kit ($665.09 +tx).

Question, how long have you seen it in "Warehoused" status?

Thanks,
Jeff
