Waiting for my broken camera from eBay and then I will be putting an order in for a 50D

You don't gave to wait to have camera in hand to place an order. If you already paid for the camera ask the seller for the serial number (if it hasn't already been shipped). Besides most times the Canon reps don't even ask for the serial number - they usually ask about the model and the issues with the camera.

I just got a T2i coming using an advantix EOS IX Lite. They did not seem to care that it was a film camera.

The XSi is a great starter camera. You shouldn't have any problem selling it here on POTN, if it's in good shape. Have fun with your 50D, I loved mine when I had it. Great camera.

You can sell anything at the right price. People attempting to sell a used XSI for $425+ here will be in despair :D

O.O Nope. I just watch the selling section for certain models at specific prices for friends. The first two XSI's I picked up here were $250 and $275 respectively--I happen to see a lot of sellers trying to get $425 here (body only), which is slightly unrealistic when they go for less on ebay :D Whenever I price anything here, I factor out ebay fees, otherwise there's no incentive for a purchase here.

I see you've got yours at $450 WITH the 18-55 IS, which makes it more realistic given the value of the lens.

Any reason not to buy a 60D + 18-135 from this? I'm picking up an old broken Canon hopefully… 20% off makes it $831 for the kit vs $1200 new?

Maybe I'm not getting it...oh, with lens, I see. Anyway, what I was going to say, if you're going to spend $1200, why not get the 7D on the CLP. That's $1087, for body only...

i'm grabbing the body only. I dont have enough funds to buy new CF cards, CF card reader and justify the difference in tax/effort to find a broken Canon.

I think the 60d would suit my needs.

Heh, first you say you want to get a cheaper 60d through the CLP, then you say you're not willing to risk getting a broken 7D through the CLP :D

I'm not getting it either... the 60d is pretty good, but I don't believe it's really superior to the T3i or even the venerable T2i. The 7D lacks a few tiny video-related features, but it's tops in the crop department. I'd much much rather get a 2/3 price 7d vs paying full price for a 60d with a kit lens... which quite honestly is not a stellar lens. At some point in the near future, you're going to be disappointed and replace it.

CF cards and readers? $30 for a 16gb 400x CF card on sale and about $2-$4 for a reader... those minor points truly help you determine which body and lens you'll be using?
