Headed to Goodwill, picked up two Canon film bodies for $15 total. One 7D on the way.

nope
You'll need linux or mac os to get an accurate shutter count for a t2i.

Well, when I was checking the pics I took. It showed up as 100-1500, does that mean it took atleast 1500 or that number could be wrong and it only had 10-100 clicks?

could be wrong, but if the number is already at 1500, then i'd say it may be likely higher - if the number was ever reset...

CF cards and readers? $30 for a 16gb 400x CF card on sale and about $2-$4 for a reader...

Where are you finding reputable cards (Sandisk, Lexar, etc.) for that much?

No, it's not supported for the 7D.

Your only option: https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=11813682&postcount=19

It is rather simple to do though.

FWIW, the last CLP camera I got (T2i a couple weeks ago) had a fairly deep scratch on the back next to one of the thumb buttons. Looks like the camera was dropped on that point.

The rest of the camera was fine, though, and it tested out, so

Well, I didn't win the CLP lottery. 50D came with more than 14,600 shutter actuations. Doesn't look bad overall, but the tripod mount threads look used, the white lettering on the back for the buttons (like the on switch) show obvious signs of usage, and the hot shoe shows a little wear.

I'd say it's good condition for almost 15,000 actuations, but I'm disappointed a bit overall.
