Here's some photos from a Misfits show I shot the other night. There was not much light, so most of these are at ISO 3200 - 6400 with the 7D:

I did mess around with the PP, but it was mostly to hide the noise. I had to shoot at ISO 3200 - 6400, and usually up the exposure to get it to a proper exposure. I found that various forms of B+W and desaturation hide noise really well.

Though, I admittedly, I was playing around with number 2 quite a bit -- a strobe happened to hit so it actually was over exposed. I messed with the photo a bit.
