Hi,
I just bought a G12 and played arround with it. I took some photos of our newborn during a bathing session. Some water hit the front lense and I used some Eclipse and a Q-tip to clean it. I then noticed a flaw on the front lense.
Now I m not sure if Eclipse had done this.

Here are some photos of it:

I m going to return the camera for sure,
but I hope they dont say that this is my fault.

don't think Eclipse would remove lens coating. Had a 100mm macro lens like that but it had no effect on IQ only on resale value.

I have used Eclipse numerous times on glass and never had it do anything like that. I had a lens with a similar defect from the factory once, It didn't effect IQ at all.

I think its a factory fault. I cant tell if its on the surface or below.
I m gonna return the camera even though I dont see it on the images. It just bugs me.

I can be completely off target here, but it looks like an air bubble inside the glass element. shouldn't affect IQ, but it always bugs the camera owner no end :)
