My lenses are all planned for FF, the 7D seems weaker at mural print sizes, and the 1DIII (still a crop), is made for speed and sports, which I don't care about. And only 10Mp. multidisciplinary visual guy, professor of visual art, irresponsible and salty.

Sans money, I would get the 1DIII, but it's a big money difference. Reading the rest of the thread, a 5DII is about 1,600 (IIRC) plus tax through the Canon Loyalty Program. The CLP makes the 5DII and 7D very hard to beat options. 1D III 5D II 5D | 580 EX II x 2
