The first one is very nice, but I feel like the 2nd one's graffiti really takes away from the picture. It seems to have more significance than it really should. If more of the wall was covered with graffiti, it would be more interesting I think.

the wall is really distracting on the first one cause the white's so bright, the image is really contrasty in the wrong places, but i really like the style of it and the colors all work great but oof foreground is a little distracting and paired with the contrastyness it's really distracting from the subject.

I agree with this...the subject looks great but the photo would really benefit from removing some color from the background and wall

In the first shot you cant clearly see the guys hair.... which he clearly put a lot of time into!

1st one is not too bad - but watch the contrast, like mentioned. 2nd one - it seems as though you mis focused - a little blurry. The girl does not match the background.

I REALLY like the first one. I would lose some of the blurred foreground ( but then it gets centered and people will gig you for that:) ) I'm not really bothered by the contrast and color.

And I'll bet the kid likes it too. And if he doesn't his mother and girlfriend will.

The second one looks like she owns the door and is VERY annoyed about it.

Senior pictures is a genre I'm not familiar with. Doesn't anybody smile anymore?:)

I like the first one - contrast is getting a bit high. And a bit more separation for his hair would be great.

The second is OK but she doesn't look comfortable with that pose. It would appear she would not normally put her hand on her hip and cop an attitude.....And that's certainly not a bad thing. She would probably be more comfortable with a more formal pose.

One of the reason I don't do them - it seems to be fashionable to be unhappy if not downright angry. Add to that a casual dress code that borders on homeless and it's a strange genre for sure.

Really? The girl looks pretty sharp to me. The BG is a little out of focus, but that's just fine for this.

I think these are great for senior pictures, I like the second one a lot. I would keep an eye on those lines in the BG though, it's a little crooked.

These aren't your typical senior portraits, they have more edge to them, and a fashion photo feel. I say good work!

I do agree that it would be nice to see the first guy's hair a little more though.
