Thanks...

Friday was very, very slow. Haven't heard if things picked up any on Saturday or not.

I think the Wx in SoCal may have been an issue for those not willing or able to fly over IFR. There was also Wx in NE Arizona and over into NM as well.

lovely shots as always...
that Spitfire replica looks interesting - is it a full-scale size? the prop looks huge...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Thank You...

AFAIK, it's a full-scale replica. Not a RR Merlin engine however.

The Spitfire Mk IX replica has a 1325 hp Allison engine in it, so it can keep up with the big boys.

Thanks Guys. Really wish I'd gone back on Saturday but I've got some other things coming up in November that will more than make up for not going. :D

Sorry...

Next time, give a heads up 'cause if I can't make it, I know about 10 other very solid photographers who either were there or could have gone.

I also happen to know the official photographer for Copperstate.

Any of your flock interested in doing some air to air? Drop me a PM. I know of a photography event in November in which they might be interested.

I love seeing the AH-64 photos. Even working up here I've never seen that radome hood before!
