Lake Superior Pounding the Shoreline

I intended to set out for a sunrise this morning for the first time in several weeks but the weather wasnt cooperating. However, I knew just the spot to go when there is wind and waves - Stoney Point. This point sits at the end of a 300 mile trench that funnels wave activity towards shore. The surf is so large that professional surfers compare it to waves found in Hawaii.

I also like the slow shots, they seem to be everyones favorites these days.

With the big waves, I would be interested more in stopping the action of the big action.

I also know how hard it can be to get the lighting correct in these situations.

Ive gotta get my monitor at home calibrated - these look awfully dull on my work monitor but they looked vibrant at home...

Spent a little more time on these, finished the first one - think I like the results better...
