I am assuming the moon was added in edit? It looks really low, oddly low. the moon doesn't set as the sun does...but the tent is fabulous, as is the rest of the sky.

Neat shot, but the moon looks a little too yellow.

@Flo, Around here, it actually does rise and set very similar to the sun. This was upon it's rise. The moon you see was added directly over the existing image of the moon which had been blown out as a result of the exposure time for the tent and sky.

@JCAMER, I did try to bring the yellow out, but it looked odd against the coloured sky. I will try to play around some more with it.

@D Morton, yes a decent amount, but nothing excessive.

Thank you all for your input.

I think the color of the moon looks right. Around here the moon is very orange when it rises.

Was this shot in two exposures? AFAIK, the apparent magnitude (and luminosity) of the moon shouldn't allow for the foreground to be exposed as it is.. The composition is fairly balanced.

The trees (are they trees, or shrubs?) really distract me from the picture, seeing as they are cut off. I'd have gone for a higher vantage point. I'd also have muted the yellow / orange of the moon.

Well done.

@Flo, no offense taken, I was actually surprised by the comment. It seems very normal to see the Moon slowly rise over the horizon, I guess I just assumed it was like that everywhere?

@circusofcrows, Yah I thought about the vantage point after words, my original camera location was up a little higher on the hill, but due to some elements in the background decided to go with a slightly lower one. Will have to re-shoot and see what I can get.

Thanks again for all the input.

I think it looks very natural and the moon here rises exactly that way also. Great job. What about adding another layer of star trails?
