It looks really low, oddly low. the moon doesn't set as the sun does...but the tent is fabulous, as is the rest of the sky. you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Oct 25, 2010 12:23 | #5 @Flo, Around here, it actually does rise and set very similar to the sun. This was upon it's rise. The moon you see was added directly over the existing image of the moon which had been blown out as a result of the exposure time for the tent and sky. 5D MKII w/Grip, 40D w/ Grip, 400D w/ Grip, EFs 18-55mm, 17-40 F4L, 70-200 2.8 ISL, EF 75-300 III USM, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 100mm 2.8 Macro, Pentacon Six 45mm Tilt, Composer Lens Baby, 430EX, 580EXII,....and big dreams.

AFAIK, the apparent magnitude (and luminosity) of the moon shouldn't allow for the foreground to be exposed as it is.. The composition is fairly balanced. flickr

Oct 26, 2010 23:17 | #13 @Flo, no offense taken, I was actually surprised by the comment. It seems very normal to see the Moon slowly rise over the horizon, I guess I just assumed it was like that everywhere? 5D MKII w/Grip, 40D w/ Grip, 400D w/ Grip, EFs 18-55mm, 17-40 F4L, 70-200 2.8 ISL, EF 75-300 III USM, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 100mm 2.8 Macro, Pentacon Six 45mm Tilt, Composer Lens Baby, 430EX, 580EXII,....and big dreams.
