Richard Reinsdorf sues Skechers claiming they used images beyond the agreed contract. Let's see how this plays out.

Here you go.

If he can prove they went outside the scope of the contract, then he has a good case. However, I doubt he will be awarded $250 mil. If by some miracle he is awarded that, Skechers will appeal until the cows come home.

Fashion photographer Richard Reinsdorf calls for Skechers to Shape Up!

oh dear lord, I work for a Footwear company and this pun has been used so often.

I think it's pretty awful if they have unlawfully used his images past the date, although $250 million is stretching it a bit isn't it?

Well, if you ask for 250 million, and they come back and settle for two million, then both sides can feel like they scored.

I suppose.

But the idea of this photographer footing the bill makes the people at Sketchers look like heels. It's time we stomped out copyright infringement. I mean, walk a mile in Reinsdorf's shoes before you judge him. On the other hand, if Sketchers is stealing his work, then everytime they speak they're just putting their foot in their mouth.

Thank you. bw!

The reason Reinsdorf has been so good is he's always been a step a head of the competition, never acting a bit footloose until now. If he wins I think skechers will need their soles saving.

Anyway back to the subject. If you look at it like that, he's probably gone for the high number in hope of a quick and easy payout.

This seems like a step in the right direction in terms of our rights.

This is a serious topic, guys. We photographers can't just let people walk all over us.

It's time someone went toe-to-toe with the shoe manufacturers.

Thank you. bw!

One thing is for sure, copyright infringement must be stomped out.

Back on subject btw.

I do think it's disgraceful IF Skechers have done something wrong but on the other hand I think it's equally disgraceful that he should be sueing for so much.

Well it looks like Richard is doing the leg work here, I just hope he stands his ground and doesn't loose his footing along the way.
