This was taken outside Aspen, CO along Independence Pass. The colors and shapes were just too cool to pass up.

navydoc Cream of the Crop More info | Nice shot and processing. I do wish the clouds were a bit more pronounced though. Right now, the sky seems to have a marbled look to it. I'm not saying this as being something you did in processing, the clouds were probably like that naturally....just sayin'. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

kirkt Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 25, 2010 11:19 | #9 I'd be interested to see a blend between the original, 0EV (best) exposure and a 25-50% opacity blend of this image. The local contrast is a bit much, but blended back into the original might look like jsut the right amount of snappy. Kirk

I had clouds like this in several of my shots that day. It is what it is. 1Ds Mk II, 1D Mk II, 50D, 40D, XT (for my son), 17-40L, 24-105L, Bigma 50-500 EX DG, Sigma 150 Macro EX DG, Tokina 12-24 AT-X, Nifty Fifty, Tamron 28-300 (for my son), 580ex II, 430ex II

The local contrast was increased with the Topaz Adjust application. I might give that a try to see how it looks. I haven't really had time to post a lot of images but I plan to do so as I head into the slow season here. I would really like to get more C&C from people. It allows me to learn how other people view things. Thanks again for the kind words. 1Ds Mk II, 1D Mk II, 50D, 40D, XT (for my son), 17-40L, 24-105L, Bigma 50-500 EX DG, Sigma 150 Macro EX DG, Tokina 12-24 AT-X, Nifty Fifty, Tamron 28-300 (for my son), 580ex II, 430ex II
