Here is another one from the Great Kiwi POTN Expedition:

This one is after everyone had gone home; Scott and I thought we would have a few shots at the city at night.

I intentionally over exposed to see what happened, I love the result esspecially the relfections in the water, will now go looking for some better subject matter, and have a bit more of a play...

Very cool Pete!

How did the shots of the Bridge come out?

Iv found that with night time shots you can get away with over exposing quite a bit, and actualy get more detail and colour out of the scene.
Which is exactly whats happened here.
The patterns in the water are very cool, I never knew there was that much colour in the city.

The bridge shots were interesting, I didn't post any, as ScottNZ already did a really nice one. The interesting part was the effect your suggested changes in aperture had on the images, both were shot on my 28-105 @ 60mm on a tripod.

The first one was shot wide open at f/4 (2.5s):

The second was shot stopped down to f/16 (10s), note the cool star effect:

The first shot is awesome. Very nice feel to it.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

No PS work apart from a resize, some white balance ans slight exposure correction in the RAW conversion though.
