I never really do photo's of people. But me and my friends went to St. Louis for the weekend and I got a few shots that I enjoyed. I just moved to primes and this was my first time using one.

Nice crisp shots. Primes are nice, aren't they?

Yes, I have to agree the clarity and color that came from my Sigma 30 1.4 really got me excited.

I'd like to start researching the in's and out's of portrait and candid people shots. It just seemed like with zooms I was being lazy.

Primes force me to think about the composure a little more. While these are bland and centered I have grown a lot since the time I took them 2 days ago.

the guy in the first pictures looks like he should be famous. My first thought when I saw the picture was "who is he". For some reason, the first picture reminds me of the skit Dave Chappelle did about everything looking good in slow motion.

:lol::lol::lol:

Thats awesome, yeah my buddy looked at the picture and said "wow I look good" lol.

Even though it was an impromptu shot, he's going to use it for his album cover. He does solo guitar stuff around local bars and what not. I was flattered.

Thanks for the compliments!

Thank you! The sigma 30mm amazed me at its sharpness...at times.

I don't use the lens on 1.4 much. Its its only sharp about 1/6 tries. When I'm with my friends its usually between 1.8 - 2.2 where its crazy sharp.
