I also remember the teachers I was sh!t scared of.. I didn't learn much from them..

I've never had a teacher I was scared of...maybe the Principal who I visited on a regular basis, :o  but never a teacher.

Because.

That's the way our nanny government is acting these days.

Forum Rules. No Politics. Remember? We've closed the odd thread or two over flagrant disregard of that rule.

It's funny though, when I think back on the teachers I remember and respected the most, they were the ones who demanded the most from me. I can't even remember the names of some of the easygoing teachers.

You're right on the money. The teachers that demanded hard work and results ended up with students working had and delivering results.

The kids I know that are in high school today are hopelessly unprepared for real life outside of school. They're passed though the system without learning anything valuable.

The city of Dayton, close to where I live, has a 39% drop-out rate in high school. That's nearly 4 of every 10 students dropping out. Those kids can't even get a job flipping burgers, and end up in jail. Apparently, their parents could care less what their kids are doing!

I noticed you have the Canon EF Life-Size converter in your signature. I thought that only worked with the 50mm macro lens, or does it work with your 100mm macro?

I bought this after several people said it worked with other lenses. Guess what? They were correct! I've even used it on my 100-400!

Done!

But he's just a very frustrated individual. You know, kind of like a maiden Aunt that's always correcting you for something!

I'm not afraid of the "grammar police". I'm not even afraid of the "mattress police" and have torn off every DO NOT REMOVE label.

I'm such a scofflaw that I jaywalked once. I'm sure the statute of limitations has run out, so I can tell it now to the world!

Yeah I wish, the other day I saw a woman with a backside the size of a bus wearing bright red stretch pants with SEXY in huge letters across the back. Sexy to what? An elephant maybe.

There are sites on the internet to prepare you for such assaults on your fashion and style outlook.

Search for "WalMart People".

Be prepared to experience a wide variety of clothing and individual styles.

I might also suggest that you not be drinking or eating during the viewing.

To bring yourself back to a normal plane, and enjoy some very different art, search for "The Chalkman" and enjoy.

One should always provide a balanced presentation, and leave them on a high note.

There is no way that Chalkman can erase what you see at peopleatwalmart.com.

Band-Aid on a broken leg at best!

Trust me on this!

My old high school English teacher would love Roy. Had him for grade 10 and 12 English, and boy did we ever learn our grammar! He had a PhD in grammar and made sure we were all very aware of the fact. Nowadays he would probably fail me for my current use of grammar, but I try to behave.

I don't know about that. My mother tried to keep me in check for 62 years. Is Roy up to the task? ;)
