.... It's really hard to look sexy using a rollator.

You need to get a really good paint job on that! Day-glo with flames

Change out the clunky tires for some mags or old-school rims and whitewalls. Some heavy duty disc brakes with coloured calipers.

Change the flat fold-up seat for a throne or racing seat with a 5-point harness. Put a fold up cot in there and you're ready for action wherever you are :D, reduces the chances of lost interest while motor-vating to an appropriate spot. (Same line could be used for a porcelain throne).

Build a mini-bar into it, always easier to catch them when they've had a few

Mount a Victrola on the handle bars.

Practice your chair dancing so you can show off at the next shin-dig at the lodge! (I did this one when I severely damaged 3 limbs 15 yrs ago, paid off well at the HappyThanksHallowChristmasYear party.)

Just a couple of suggestions...........

Keeping it photography-related: I took this one from inside the courthouse, through a window.

Where is that? (And, for that matter, where are you? I'm in Concord.)

It's the view from the third or fourth floor of the Wiley Manuel courthouse in Oakland, one of the Alameda County Superior Court buildings.

The difficulty, of course, is how to define "peers."

Roger has no peers. He is unique!

I visit Concord a few times a year. My sister-in-law and father-in-law live there, off of Bailey Road and Myrtle, just at the foot of the pass.

We moved to Michigan from Foster City in 1990 (curse the quest for the almighty dollar) and can't wait to get back to the area in a few years.

It's slippery, again. Roads are crappy, again. My car slid thru and intersection, again. Loving this Winter.

That's just down the road (Concord Blvd. ) from me. I'm off Farm Bureau Road on Wren.

This reminds me of the old saying, "When God created you, He broke the mold."

Perhaps.

But then, one wonders why did He break the mold? When He broke it, did her say, "At last, perfection!" Or did He say, "Oh My Me! What have I done!"

A Victrola?!! Will Nipper run alongside? What kind of shocks will I need to keep it from skipping?

Come on, I'm not that old fashioned. I do know what an MP3 player is.

Besides, if I mount a Victrola on the handlebars I won't have room to mount my Graflex.

Aww... what's wrong with Michigan?? It's soooo close to Canada that the awesomeness just oozes over the border! And there's so much of this absolutely, gorgeous, wonderful, lovely snow.

(Well, Michiganders do talk pretty funny...)

Tomorrow will be a month since I had my total knee replacement. I had physical therapy today. Been an out patient for a couple of weeks now. I have advanced from getting around with a walker to using a cane. It helps that my therapist is a cute Filipina.

Some years ago I have a touch of RSI, working for a newspaper at the time. Six or so hours a day using a 1D MkII ( and other cameras in the past) took its toll. I wasn't the only one, four other guys in the department had the same problem.

Anyway,, off I go to the physiotherapist at the company's expense. The young physiotherapist was an Iranian woman who had the most beautiful eyes I'd seen. She would work on my forearm, looking down at what she was doing then glance up to talk to me. I would literally melt.

I definitely took the full course of physio, pain and all ;)
