I was doing close-ups of the Daddy-Daughter dance, and wanted some close-ups of the guests. I had that on me for about 20 minutes total. It was so heavy to carry both.

I was considering getting the new 24-70 II, but that isn't much lighter. If the 70-200 wasn't so good, I'd use another lens, but I'm stuck with it on my 7D2. I hope to have helpers next time to follow me around, but I'm trying to retire. But I still have too many friends with kids.

Suzie, I feel for you!

I guess I'm relieved that I don't "do" weddings! For an event with a combination of "challenges", well I might use my all-purpose "walk-about" lens, the 24-105 on my 5DC, but I would carry a 70-200 in some kind of pack for those needs!

I do a considerable amount of pro bono work here. I love doing it because the organizations I help are gracious and grateful. I would not do it if it wasn't for a worthy cause, just because I am so busy, I have to be selective. Also, for paid work, I'd rather a pro who wants payment get the work. It's not my livelihood but it is theirs.

I would love to retire and live on the beach, but I still have 2 teenagers, and now 2 growing grandchildren. They all need me more than I admit, so I have to give them my time. I also help over 100 8th graders get into one of the best high schools in the country. I teach them how to think. It's really rewarding. I get so much joy out of seeing those kids succeed.

I would probably die if I retire (65). The wife knows that and every morning she says: "You are going to work!"

I hear that a lot. Both about "I would die" and the wife shooing you out the door.

Moose is hoping to get a couple years of retirement in before his wife quits work. Moose likes his alone time.

Well you've been alone in here for 15 hours, so thought I'd drop by and ruin your alone time!!

I wasn't here, I was in bed; it's 7:15 AM.

I just drank a bottle of magnesium citrate and 10 oz of water. I'm expecting the fireworks within about 30 minutes.
