Hey older photogs, are we all locked down or something, sure is getting very quiet around here?

Not any more, here in Australia. The only cases of COVID-19 here are from people entering the country from overseas. They go all in strict two weeks hotel-quarantine with a police officer or soldier in front of their hotel door!
So things are pretty much back to normal. :) Thanks to a strict lockdown earlier this year.

Terry, I've just seen your post.

Words fail me.

But know that the community feels for you.

***************

And to other members I've not chatted with due to being AWOL for a long time - from this thread, I started oh so many years ago - how have you all coped during COVID?

Here in Japan, as you'd expect, deaths are minimal (less than annual influenza deaths) and yet the fearmongering on TV is staggering, and has had the desired effect I suppose.

Anyway, time for a shower

Cheers for now,
Simon

Oh no... I've seen about other countries via the 'net.
I'm sorry to say that in Japan, apart from the scaremongering on TV, nothing has actually happened.
We've had less corona-deaths in 2020 than influenza deaths in 2018/19, and the Japanese Constitution meant that lockdowns were illegal.

So the 'take a shower' ending was because it was morning...and I needed to get in the shower and get on with my day :-P

Anyway, keep your smile on.

:-D

I was joking of course. Here in Australia we have been very fortunate with low numbers. Mainly due to a very disciplined population following lock down instructions and strict quarantine for people entering the country.
Good financial support by the government for businesses affected by the lock down to keep the economy going helped as well.
So happy I don't live in Europe or the US...

35mm and 120. Was able to scan the 35, but, the 120 was too expensive.

Australia and NZ certainly set an example to us all.

"But it is my right!" is all too common here, it seems. Now the lowest rates of vaccination states (or Zipcodes) have the higher rates of infection, with the Delta strain, as result of exercising their rights. Science shows no bias.
